Verifying Results from your Absolutely Free Background Check

By: Tom Allen

• In Schools
Verify school records and academic credentials by visiting the school that your subject has been with. Some schools can give you the information over the phone while some require a letter requesting the information.

• In Courthouses
Courthouses can provide you with criminal and arrest records for free. Before actually going to your local courthouse, try browsing the Internet for absolutely free background check services and try looking for basic information such as name and social security number to aid you in your criminal record search. You can pass a request letter to the registrar’s office although results are not acquired immediately.

• In Libraries

The library allows you free access to databases where you can countercheck a person’s credentials or books that he/she claimed to write.

• The Department of Motor Vehicles

Check driver’s licenses and traffic violations from the Department of Motor Vehicles.

• Form Government Departments and Bureaus
The Department of Vital Records also allows you to conduct absolutely free background checks using their pool of databases. You can also look for records of workplace accidents and violations from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Other government bureaus offering information would include the Denied Persons List from the Bureau of Industry and Security and the Securities and Exchange Commission Database.
